Responsibilities:

  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and/or schedule the activities of subcontractors, vendors, and construction workers.
  • Enforce Quality Control Plan and apply the Three Phases of Quality Control to all projects.
  • Complete inspections and Daily Reports.
  • Inspect work progress or construction sites to verify safety or to ensure that specifications are met.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities.
  • Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs.
  • Confer with Project Manager, other departments, or subcontractors to resolve problems or coordinate activities.
  • Site safety and health duties as required.

The Preferred Candidate:

  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience on projects with values of at least $1M
  • Current USACE CQCM certificate (preferred, not required)
  • Is organized, motivated, detail-oriented, and driven
  • Intermediate in use of computers, technology, and software
  • Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
  • Experience using RMS (preferred, not required)
  • Impeccable problem-solving skills
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check

• Purchasing duties
• Submit and negotiate change orders or modifications
• Create and update construction schedules
• Complete monthly progress reports
• Administer trade contracts and write scopes of work
• Create and maintain Submittal, RFI, and Testing Logs
• Write Requests for Information, review submittals, facilitate the submittal process
• Approve pay applications
• Attend meetings as required
• Generate meeting agendas and project meeting minutes
• Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines
• Establish and maintain working relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
• Collaborate with project teams on other special initiatives, as required

The Preferred Candidate:
• Has at least 10 years’ experience in construction
• Experience as a Project Manager on projects with values of at least $1 million
• Has a bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering or a construction related field
• Demonstrates a commitment to creatively engage and take initiative
• Experience using software such as: RS Means, MS Project, On-Screen Take Off, Blue Beam, RMS, and Primavera P6

Quality Control Manager

QC Responsibilities:

  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and other project documentation
  • Enforce Quality Control Plan

  • Create and maintain Submittal, RFI, and Testing Logs

  • Has at least 5 years’ experience in commercial construction, preferably on US Army Corps projects
  • Experience as a Quality Control Manager on projects with values of at least $1 million
  • Has a bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering or a construction related field
  • Receives a satisfactory background check
  • Demonstrates a commitment to creatively engage and take initiative
  • Experience using software such as: RMS, RS Means, MS Project, On-Screen Take Off, and Primavera P6
  • Is organized, motivated, detail-oriented and driven

  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements
  • Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
  • Cut, shape, and smooth materials according to drawings
  • Builds walls, Ceilings, and Soffits using various size and gauge metal studs and fasteners
  • General rough and finish carpentry, install doors, hardware, cabinets, etc.

Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Carpenter
  • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
